Access Program
UWABC Rowing Access Program
Breaking down financial barriers for entry into the sport
UWA Boat Club offers a fun, competitive, and supportive environment to rowers to achieve their goals. However, some prospective and current rowers face financial barriers to participating in the sport. Our objective is to help all students to row, regardless of their financial situation.
The objective of the Rowing Access Program is to subsidise the cost of training and racing for athletes.
Benefits For Participants
● Participate in rowing training and racing with UWABC with a number of the financial costs associated with the sport being covered by the program
● Improve physical health, develop discipline, and collaboratively work in a team towards a common goal
● Student networking opportunities to improve studies, socialising with other students
● For university students, network with alumni through our events and mentoring program
Participant Support
Successful participants in the program each year will have their RowingWA registration fee, UWABC membership fee and RowingWA regatta fees subsidised. Participants during their involvement in the program, will also receive club kit uniform and be supported to attend regional regattas.
