Saturday 11th May format is as follows: (Note Sailing is weather dependent and dates may change)
If you have not paid or provided paperwork, can you please be at the club by 9am so we can register you for insurance purposes.
All other days. You need to be at the Club by 9am as we like all our students to arrive early to start at 9:30am ALWAYS.
That gives you time to get changed, get a cuppa, organise your PFD (personal floatation device) for the day, fill water bottles, help with boats etc. and be ready to go at 9:30am. This applies to every week unless notified by us.
9:30am - Saturday 11th May 2024
1. Meet and greet welcome by the Club including morning tea.
2. Tour of facilities for those who have not been to the club before.
3. Shown where the changing facilities are.
4. Meet the instructors and induction briefing where we try to answer all your questions.
5. Safety First Briefing.
6. Getting out on the water. NOTE. This is weather-dependent.
7. Hands-on sailing for participants.
8. 1:00pm. Return to the clubhouse for a quick debrief and change.
9. Relax and enjoy a coffee, snack, or (pre-arranged) meal with the group.
10. Go home and look for a boat on the net with a cold drink!
Please remember NO SHOES - NO SAIL.
Crocks and thongs are NOT suitable for sailing. An old pair of sand shoes, dive boots etc are ok. Many of the cheap beach shoes will come off in the mud. Yes, there is some mud at low tide.
Remember also a hat, sunnies, sun screen, rashie, water bottle, snacks (i.e. chewy bars/fruit), towel and a change of clothes, wind proof jacket.
Read the Course Requirements document again.
See you all Saturday 11th May 2024 (weather permitting)
Kind regards
