The Urunga Sail Training Club are holding workshops promoting social connection, wellbeing and resilience through a grant received from Healthy North Coast, for communities affected by the bushfires of 2019/2020 in the Bellingen, Nambucca and Coffs Harbour local areas.

All workshops are free events and materials are supplied. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited to 10 p/p session.

Traditional Indigenous Basketry workshop

For indigenous woman and community to learn traditional basketmaking from local Gumbaynggirr Ngamba elder, Hannah Smith, using naturally sourced materials. Bring a memento or object, photo, piece of fabric that was left from the aftermath of the fires or has special meaning and weave this into the basket.
