Available for your diving delight is the opportunity for 5 nights at Lady Elliot Island from 17 November to 22 November 2021

I've just returned from a trip to the island and have organised a trip for us at the earliest possible group availability.

 

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

Resort:

• 5 nights accommodation in an Eco Cabin, Twin/Triple/Quad share, with shared bathrooms

• Return scenic flight from Hervey Bay (40 min)
• Delicious high quality Buffet breakfast and Buffet dinner daily
• One combined glass bottom boat/guided snorkelling tour
• Free use of snorkel equipment and lesson if required
• Free island activities and guided tours
• Environmental management charge

Diving:

• Eight (8) boat dives.  BYO Dive Gear or hire from the Island at extra cost (Any unused dives are not refundable)

• Night dive/s are available for $100pp extra

Important Notes:

• 15kg per person luggage limit on all flights to/from Lady Elliot Island plus 2kg hand luggage. Extra luggage cost is available in 5kg lots: $70 for 5kg extra or $140 for 10kg extra

• Dive gear is available for hire if required (see website for details)
• All activities are subject to weather and tide conditions
• Travel insurance is highly recommended by Lady Elliot Island
• Flight departs from Hervey Bay or Bundaberg Airport. Flights also available from Brisbane (Redcliffe) and Gold Coast for additional $405 per adult (gross).  Sole traveller surcharge $100 return from Brisbane (Redcliffe) - non commissionable or refundable). 

COST: Twin Share or Triple Share $1771.  Quad Share $1715 ** (price for non-divers TBA)

Deposit: Non-Refundable deposit: $300 per person required on booking. Please pay into the club with "LEI" as the reference

Additional information:

** NUMBERS: There are only 4 Eco Cabins available.  Eco Cabins consist of either 2 sets of bunks (ie 4 people per cabin), or 1 set of bunks and a double bed.  Based on “first in, first choice” there is availability for between 8 and 16 people for this trip depending on attendee’s room allocations/selections.

MEALS/DRINKS: Lunch is available for purchase daily including burger & chips (large serve) $19.95 & toasted sandwich $9.95.  Drinks are available for purchase at the bar, and you can buy a bottle of wine to be held at the bar for your use rather than buying per glass.  Instant Coffee & Tea are available for no cost, but other coffees (eg cappuccino, latte) are extra cost

GETTING THERE:  My suggestion is to drive up to Hervey Bay.  Flights leave at either 10:30am or 1:00pm from Hervey Bay, and you need to be at the airport ½ hour prior to departure.

WILDLIFE:  Underwater you will probably see Mantas, as Lady Elliot is famous for Manta’s all year round.  Also reef sharks, the occasional Tiger shark, rays of many types, and heaps of turtles, as well as plenty of reef fish as the area is a green zone.  Topside, you’ll see nesting/laying turtles, and an array of birds including Noddy Terns, Rails, Sea Eagles, Frigates and the every-raucous Mutton Birds. 

INTERNET/PHONE:  There is no mobile phone reception on the island.  There is Satellite Internet available for extra cost.  There is one public landline available which can be used via a purchased satellite phone card
