Reef Check Australia is a volunteer-run citizen science organization that surveys and reports on the health of coral reefs on the east and west coasts of Australia. We are also involved in outreach activities to empower the local community to protect and conserve marine and coastal areas.

Ocean Talk Series
The first installment of Reef Check’s Coast to Coral – Ocean Talk Series in Brisbane is starting on May 30.

 Join us at ‘The Bearded Lady’ in West End to hear a fascinating talk from Dr. Chris Roelfsema about mapping hidden coral reefs in Moreton Bay.

Kick the night off at 6:30pm with a beer from The Bearded Lady Bar, then sit down from 7pm to learn about the wonders of the sea. The presentation will last for approximately 30 minutes followed by time for questions and discussion. Following the talk, pizzas will arrive and you'll have the chance to top up your beers. 

Entry is $2 which gets you pizza at the end.

In June and July we have speakers on migratory shore-birds and manta rays!
