Who wants to join me on Moreton Island for a New Years Diving holiday? I have room for 14 divers and 106 non-divers.

MiCat Ferry: Departing Sunday 27th Dec 2:30pm

Diving

We will aim to take the boat out for a double dive in the morning and a single dive trip in the afternoon. If you dive in the morning one day, you will get to dive in the afternoon the next day. 

Cost: Dive ticket per dive plus $10 for fuel per dive (eg a double dive would be $20 for fuel)

Where: If the weather allows we will dive sites including but not limited to

• Gotham City
• Cementco
• Flinders Reef
• Hendersons Reef
• Cherub's Cave
• China Wall

 

Accommodation

• Moreton Island Wilderness Camp at Comboyuro Point
• Walking distance from Bulwer
• Cabin style tents already set up 
• Stretchers & lighting provided
• BYO bedding (pillow + sleeping bag)

 

Food

• Fully catered restaurant quality meals
• Snacks and refreshments provided
• Self served buffet style
• BYO alcohol

 

Transport

• We will go over to Moreton Island and back on the MiCat Ferry.
• We will take 2 cars towing the club boat and compressor/fuel (split the cost between attendees).
• One car will be required to beach launch & retrieve the boat each day.
• Everyone else will be a walk on passenger.
• We will squash as much gear as is safe into the cars/boat/trailer but everything else will need to be carried on and off the ferry.
• If needed I can organise an extra trailer for gear at an added cost.
• Don’t pack like a princess as space will be limited.
• Once on the Island, walk on passengers will be transferred up to camp by bus.
• There is the option for you to take and pay for your own car at a discounted price of $160 plus a beach vehicle permit for $53 (save approx $100).

4 Yrs & under - Free

• This price includes accommodation, all food, MiCat Ferry ticket and transfers up the beach and back.
• We will split the cost of the Ferry ticket & beach permits for the cars transporting the compressor & boat which will be based on numbers. If we get 10 divers it will work out approximately to be $70 each. The more people we get, the cheaper it becomes.
• Dive ticket per dive plus $10 for fuel per dive.

 

Extra Info

• BYO wood for the campfires.
• There is a charging station run by solar panels for phones/cameras.
• BYO camp fridge or Eski for drinks. We can sort this out closer to the time if people want to share.

For this trip to go ahead we need your help. If you can help out please let me know via the drop down boxes below. 

• Transport the compressor/fuel
• Tow the boat on the ferry & launch the boat on the beach each morning. 

 

Now What??? Things you need to do if you want to come diving...

Your place will only be held once deposit of $100 per person or $200 if you would like to take your own car, has been received. Please pay your deposit at the time of booking your spot on Revolutionise. This payment is not refundable. It covers accommodation, food, ferry tickets and transfers that we will still need to pay for even if diving in cancelled due to wind and rain. If you give me enough notice I'll try find a replacement for you. But if I can't find a replacement or you don't show, you will not get a refund. Full payment will be required by the end of August.
