Event information

This event is full.

Let's go for a Drift on the Tweed, followed by a BBQ.

Saturday 11 January from 8:00am.

High Tide is 8:42 (AEST) so the plan would be to get in at the beach around 8:30 just before High, let the incoming tide push us around the corner & up the river a while, and then enjoy the slack.  Dive time will be about an hour (or so) depending on how much air you have left.  Exit point will be the stairs.

After the dive, we'll have a sausage sizzle.

Cost: $10 (will include the sausage sizzle & a soft drink, with a little bit of fundraising for the club)

What to bring: all dive gear, sunscreen, hat, cold water, chair

If you need a tank & weights, you'll need to let us know asap as the club probably won't be open much over the Christmas break.  Alternatively you could borrow a tank from one of your dive buddies, considering we'll only be doing a single tank dive.

Personally, I haven't dived Tweed River since this time 7 years ago, so it will be interesting to see what treasures are there to find.

We will need: someone to grab the club shelter from the shed, if possible. Please let me know if you can pick it up.

I'll bring a bbq & table, esky plus the food & some soft drink.
