Flinders Reef / East Moreton

Ekka brings the Westerly Winds to South East Queensland and as such the sea will be flattened and some of the more remote sites will be accessible this coming weekend on the far side of Moreton Island.

As such I intend to try and Dive Flinders Reef / East Moreton this Sunday the 20th of August 2023.

Schedule:

Arrive Redcliffe / Scarborough Marina / Boat Ramp @ 09:00 am

Depart Redcliffe / Scarborough Marina / Boat Ramp @ 09:30 am

Arrive Flinders / East Moreton 11:00 am

Dive 1 / 2 11:30 - 15:30

Depart Flinders Reef / East Moreton 16:00pm

Arrive Redcliffe / Scarborough Marina / Boat Ramp 17:30pm

This is a late start / late finish / diving @ midday / early afternoon so that we can access the reef without many other boats present and take advantage of the winter weather. The afternoon on the water should be relatively stable in terms of weather and waves this time of year (no promises).

The high tide is around 10:41 am and will be falling throughout the afternoon.
