Curtin Artificial Reef Scuba Dive

Hi Everyone,

Dave has volunteered to take skipper Diver 1 on Sunday. Who wants to go for a dive?

Curtin Artificial Reef hosts large schools of bigeye trevally, yellow fin trevally, mulloways, QLD groupers, cowtail rays and the occasional bull shark. There are over twenty-five wrecks placed at the site by URGQ since 1968. This site is very tidal and there is a big tide this weekend which may bring good visibility and strong currents onto the dive sites. This is an Advanced Scuba Dive, perhaps even a live boat drift dive given the large tide.

Depart: Sandgate / Shorncliffe Boat Ramp (Sandgate Yacht Club) @ 9:00 - 09:15 am 

Arrive: Tangalooma @ 10:30 am

Dive 1: Tangalooma Wrecks 11:00am - 12:00am

(Skippers Dive 12:15 - 13:00)

Dive 2: Curtain Artificial 13:00 pm

Return / Arrive: Shorncliffe: 15:30 - 16:00 pm
