Hi Everyone,

We are looking into some first aid courses that we are hoping to be funded by the Gambling Community Benefit grant.

It is important to maintain and improve safety skills and knowledge for conducting activities. When we plan Scuba diving trips, it requires multiple safety procedures and knowledge of emergency responses and first aid skills. Learning extra and updated skills from the below mentioned courses will benefit our members and the community to carry out water sports responsibly.

When applying for the grant, we need to submit a quote. Could you please choose any of the following first aid courses that you would be interested in attending for free.

1, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (Formally known as HLTAID003)

You will learn the skills and knowledge to be able to provide first aid response and life support, manage casualty(ies), the incident, and other first aiders, until qualified emergency help arrives at the scene of the incident.

 

2, HLTAID013 Provide first aid in remote settings course

You will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a remote or isolated site over an extended period of time until medical assistance is provided, or evacuation occurs.

 

3, HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy course

(COURSE PRE-REQUISIT: Current FIRST AID certificate E.g HLTAID011,

As per ASQA and NTS HLTAID003 IS NOT ACCEPTED AS PRE-REQUISIT SINCE 01/06/2021)

This course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively Provide Advanced Resuscitation techniques and use oxygen therapy equipment.
