Diving with URGQ

All of our dive trips are organised by members who volunteer their time and effort to organise a trip. Although diving activities are the responsibility of the Dive Captain, any member can organise a club dive. Don't forget that URGQ members have the choice to dive when and where they choose.

Where We Dive

Our regular dives are in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

We regularly visit a variety of sites around Moreton Island, including the Curtin Artificial Reef and Stradbroke Island. Other sites we visit each year include, but are not limited to, Julian Rocks, Cook Island, ex-HMAS Brisbane, South West Rocks, North Solitary Islands, Wolf Rock, Cochrane Artificial Reef  and the many dive sites that surround them. 

We also often have members who organise trips both interstate and overseas. A favourite for many members is the 2 week camping trip to Lady Musgrave Island (or an Island close by) that is organised every couple of years. Or more recently, the road trips down south where we tow our club boat, diving many sites on the way, including a dive with the seals south of Sydney. 

Dive Donations

When diving off Diver 1, members are asked for a dive donation to help cover maintenance of our club boat. Donation vouchers are available for $30 each, or you can pre purchase your donation vouchers for $100 for 4 vouchers.
