What’s Judo?
The Olympic Sport of Judo involves throwing and grappling techniques
NO punching or kicking actions.
- Learn how to fall safely (a useful skill for many sports)
- Balance, agility and increased confidence for other contact sports eg: Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, AFL
- Instructor Warren Rosser has coached Canberra, Newcastle, Penrith, St George, South Sydney & Sydney Roosters NRL Teams, ACT Brumbies, NSW Waratahs Rugby Teams and the Sydney Swans AFL Team in safe falling and tackling techniques.
About the Club
The UNSW Judo Club is one of the oldest and biggest judo clubs in Australia with nearly 400 members.
Eight members of the UNSW Judo Club have represented Australia at the Olympic Games:
