Welcome to the University Juniors Hockey Club Inc.  We are the junior club of the ANU Men's and Women's and the University of Canberra (UC) Hockey Club. 

WELCOME TO 2024 - CLUB MEMBERSHIPS FOR THE 2024 SEASON ARE NOW OPEN

Uni Juniors formed in 2009 with a just a small group of Minkey players and now have over 200 players across Hook in2 Hockey/Stick to Hockey, junior boys and junior girls, ranging from children as young as 5 up to U18s. 

In 2024, we will have teams in most of the Junior grades as well as a thriving Hook in 2 Hockey program (Hin2H). By having teams in most ages and divisions for Boys and Girls we can cater for a range of players regardless of experience and skill so we love to welcome new members who have played for a while as well as those new to the sport of hockey.

We also provide a pathway for our juniors to move into senior ranks joining one of our 3 senior clubs. In 2023 we had approximately 30 of our U15 and U18 girls and boys playing senior hockey with either ANU or the University of Canberra.

Our success has been driven by a few factors. Firstly, our culture. Our main aim is for children to enjoy hockey, be active, make friends and have lots of fun. We also provide a strong family environment where we encourage parents and guardians to become involved either formally by joining our committee or taking on coaching/managing or umpiring roles. This positive culture has been paramount to our success and is fundamental to our future as well.

Secondly, we have with 3 Senior Hockey Clubs supporting this together with a large parent contingent, we have access to a large pool of coaches allowing us to ensure we are able to appoint not only appropriately qualified and experienced coaches, but also those that will work positively with their respective age group.
