Imagine diving with a large colony of very friendly Australian & New Zealand Fur Seals! You can enjoy the pure pleasure of playing with these wide-eyed, curious creatures on Montague Island! The seals love to show off their agility, swim through expertly constructed bubble rings, and copy your somersaults. One of the few animals that actually approach you, perfect for cameras and GoPros! All levels of skill welcome, as long as you have an Open Water SCUBA certification and are competent diving independently in a buddy pair. Free divers also welcome provided they can buddy up. || WHEN ||

3 nights: Friday 4 - Monday 7 October (over the long weekend)

Arrive Friday night and check out Monday morning.

|| COST ||

$150. This includes accommodation, food and booze for a party night (theme is Halloween!).
Drinks will be provided, however if you have particular tastes you're welcome to BYO.

Tickets include:

• Food, soft drinks, juice
• Alcohol at the party on Sunday night

|| DIVING ||

$25 per boat dive.

We will aim for two dives per person/day on Saturday and Sunday, dependent on weather and conditions. Tank fills aren't included and will be purchased at the local dive shop (around $10/fill).

|| GEAR ||

You are responsible for organising your own gear. BCDs, tanks, regulators, dive computers, wetsuits, masks, fins and weights are all available to hire from the club through our gear hire portal. Please come prepared with all your own gear and a full tank. The club provides a variety of gear for cheap hire, find the booking portal here:

There is limited availability on all gear hire so please book ASAP. If you need anything else you can’t hire from the club, you can hire it from the local dive shop there or hire stuff out for the weekend from any dive shop in Sydney.

|| GETTING THERE ||

Everyone will be responsible for making their way there. We will generate a Google sheet where attendees can coordinate carpooling. Please complete the carpooling excel spread sheet once it is sent around.

|| DIETARY REQUIREMENTS ||

Please advise us of any dietary requirements – veggie, vegan, nut allergy, donut allergy, let us know!  We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

|| SLEEPING ||

Beds are allocated at a first pay, first serve basis. If you are not assigned a bed please bring something comfy to sleep on like a sleeping bag, air mattress, tent, or whatever you fancy.

Bookings will open on Tuesday September 10 at 7pm. The waitlist for the event will open up 5 minutes after the event registration so make sure to get yourself on the waitlist if you miss out on this infamously fast-selling event!
