Ship Rock single dive

Let's hope for some clear winter water. If you haven't see a pineapple fish yet, you'll have to come join us for a Sydney shore dive at Ship Rock.

High tide is at 3pm, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to  gear up and walk down the long stairs to the dive site.

We will be meeting there at 2:30pm.

Dive strictly at high tide, make sure you arrive early and gear up.

Shiprock Reserve, 2 Shiprock Rd, Port Hacking NSW 2229, Australia

Gear:

You are responsible for organising your own gear. BCDs, tanks, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins and weights are all available to hire from the club through our gear hire portal - https://www.revolutionise.com.au/underwaterclub/gear-hire-. You will need to book, collect, clean, dry and return any hired club gear.

Transport:

Everyone is responsible for organising their own transport (including dive gear).

The Dive:

Shiprock is dived at slack tide. It is located just inside Port Hacking River and include all of the usual things PLUS a bubble cave. Beautiful wall dive goes to 18m max.

COVID-19 requirements

In order to run events through the UWC we must adhere to UNSW Arc Sport's COVID-19 approved policies

  • Only members that have registered on the UNSW UWC events portal may attend this event (max 10 participants/event)
  • All members attending the social shore dives are encouraged to have the COVIDsafe app installed and active
  • All members attending the social shore dives will adhere to social distancing measures (keeping 1.5 m apart, with no handshaking or hugging)
  • Members will not share dive equipment
  • Members that are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms will not attend the social shore dive
  • Those that have been in contact with a positive case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days do not attend the event
  • If you become unwell after attending this event you will alert the UNSW UWC immediately
