After a few months of servicing and repairs, the Didj is finally ready to take to the sea, so we will be running some Sydney Boat Dives. We apologise for the late-ish notice, but hey, late notice is better than none.  

|| WHEN ||

Saturday 25th June 2022. 

|| WHERE ||

TBC - It's a little too early to know what the weather will bring, but we're hoping to visit one of Sydneys best such as Magic Point, Old Mans Hat, Long Reef or the Royal National Park.  

|| COST ||

$50 ($25 per boat dive). You will be invoiced (and must pay) in advance. 

|| THE PLAN ||

The Didj will be picking up divers from a location near-ish to the dive site (TBC). The plan is for everyone to do 2 dives with time to fill tanks and have lunch in between. We hope to have dive group A diving at 8.30am and 12.30pm, with dive group B diving at 10.30am and 2.30pm. 

|| GEAR ||

You are responsible for organising your own gear (including a dive computer and SMB). The club provides a variety of gear (including dive compters and SMBs) for hire: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/underwaterclub/gear-hire-portal/. You will need to book, collect, clean, dry and return any hired club gear. Please note that gear availbility is limited, so if you need to hire please do so as soon as you have paid your trip invoice. The dive club rents tanks out empty, and you will need to arrive with a full tank for diving on Saturday. 

|| DIVING ||

Diving with the Underwater club is different to diving with a dive shop - we don't have assigned dive guides, and everyone running the dives is a volunteer. You should be comfortable swimming in the ocean unassisted, diving in a buddy pair and diving off a boat to come on this trip. In order to participate in the organised dives, you will need to show us your SCUBA certification card and be competent and confident in your swimming abilities. 

|| Booking ||

Registration for these Sydney dives will open at 20:30 (8.30pm) on Thursday 16th of June. You will need to be a paid 2022 member to register. Please note that the number of attendees is limited, and a waitlist will be opened at 8.35pm on Thursday the 16th of June for those that miss out.
