The UWC is holding a Recharge DIving Day in collaboration with M.A. Dive. This is the perfect opportunity for any certified divers to get back in the water after being dry for to long or for those who just want to build their confidence, brush up on your skills, and get more familiar with diving in a group environment with an amazing instructor!

Join in if want to:

  • Be a better dive buddy

  • Build your confidence

  • Brush up on your dive skills

  • Get back in the water after a diving hiatus

  • Upskill your diving

  • Refamiliarise your self with the underwater world.

  • Have not dived in over 12 months and need a refresher.

What prerequisities are required to join?

  • To complete the course with the UNSW UWC you must be a fully paid member.
  • An Open Water Certification from a recognised training organisation (PADI, SSI, RAID, BSAC). If you are unsure if your qualification meets this criteria reach out to Mary Anne.
  • Keen attitude to work on your diving skills.
  • There are no minimum dive requirements. In fact this is an excellent way to fast-track your skill development if you have just completed the Open Water course.
  • If doesn't matter if you havent dived in 12+ months, you can do this in lieu of a Refresher course.

What is the cost?

The cost of this will be FREE for UNSW students. This will include 2 shore dives and 1 dry dive theory session.

The club will kindly provide students FREE GEAR HIRE for the course (all kit mask, wetsuit, fins, weights, tanks, BCD, regs depending on your needs!)

You will only have to pay ~$30 for air fills for the day

When?

Students will be able to sign up to 1 of the 2 scheduled days (March 19 & 20). Class sizess will be kept small to ensure a high quality and personal experience with your instructor.

Registrations are not yet open for this event and members will be emailed with details as soon as these details are available.

Who is your instructor?

Hello! I am Mary Anne and for those of you who don't already know me I have been a member of the UNSW Underwater Club for almost ten years. I learnt to dive in 2010 in Indonesia and immediately became hooked, the environment, peacefullness, and adventure of SCUBA Diving has kept me sane. Diving brings me so much joy and I cannot wait to share that with you. I've dived all over the Australian East Coast and South East Asia but I have a very special place in my heart for the temperate creatures we see around southern NSW. I became a PADI Instructor in 2015 in Cairns, Queensland and have since certified hundreds of students in Cairns, Jervis Bay, Thailand, and Sydney.
