JOIN US for a shore dive at the famous Shelly Beach next weekend!

|| SHELLY BEACH||

Shelly Beach near Manly is a fantastic dive site for both beginner and experienced divers.

Scientists have documented over 200 species of fish living in this area, and if you are lucky you can also spot large creatures such as Bull Rays, Wobbegongs, and Dusky Whaler sharks.

The dive site has a maximum depth of 12 meters, and if you wish to refresh your skills or get some more diving experience, this site is perfect for you.

|| SCHEDULE||

[Updated for Saturday 5 June 2021]

The day will consist of a just a single dive. We plan to dive the northern side (right side) of the Shelly Beach site.

We will assemble at 8:15am for a quick dive safety brief, buddy-pair organisation, etc.

We will enter the water at around 8:30am.

Total dive time will be approximately 1 hour, so we should finish up at around 10:00am.

Due to the reschedule, there will be no second dive or barbeque included.

There are a few nice cafes and restaurants right next to the beach and around the area for coffee or brunch afterwards.

|| GETTING THERE||

You will have to arrange your own transportation to and from Shelly beach on the day.

If you are unfamiliar with parking at Shelly Beach, we can provide further tips once you have registered for this event.

|| COST ||

There is no cost for attending this event – just register and rock up.

Please note that you must be a fully paid member of the Underwater Club to register.

Those who have paid for this trip before the reschedule will receive a full refund.

|| GEAR ||

Important: Please note that a dive computer and safety sausage/surface marker buoy MUST be used by all divers at events hosted by the Underwater Club.

No dive computer = no diving. No safety sausage = no diving.

You are responsible for organising your own gear.

BCDs, tanks, regulators, dive computers, wetsuits, masks, fins and weights are all available to hire from the club through our gear hire portal*.

Arrive with a full tank so we can get diving early! The nearby dive shop is unlikely to be open before 8AM, so you will need to get your tank filled before Saturday.

*Limited availability on all gear hire
