University Associates Mens Hockey Club traces its history back to 1950, when it was formed to allow male UWA graduates to continue playing hockey for a University associated club.

[Guild regulations at the time prevented graduates from playing for a University side.]

Our club ethos is to have fun playing competitive hockey, and to support and contribute to the Senior and Junior club through coaching, financial donations, and sponsorship.

Most of our players were Senior UWA club members when younger, many have children playing at the club in junior or seniors.

We field teams in Senior and Masters , turf and grass grades.

We consider ourselves one branch of the UWA Hockey family.

This year we celebrate 75 years of Soac’s Men’s hockey.

To acknowledge the occasion we have commissioned a new playing shirt.

A celebratory event will be held during the season. Details will follow….

Registration and payment of fees

Fees are paid at registration via the Revolutionise Sport registration process. 

(This is by debit card or credit card).

Fees for 2025 have increased by a small margin (but includes your new playing shirt). 

Hockey Australia and HWA have also increased their charge to approximately $70 (which includes your insurance levy).

Categories include:

-Turf Team

-Grass Team

- Life Member of the UWA Hockey Club (you will not be required to pay club fees but will be required to pay the Hockey Australia fee).

- Goalkeeper (if providing your own kit you receive a discount on your fees and will only be required to pay $250).

- Part Season  replaces the previous Social option. It is for players anticipating playing 6 games or less. 

All players need to register before their first game (for several reasons but particularly for insurance purposes).

Please note: everyone who has registered on Revolutionise sport previously (even if you played for a different club) should be utilising The "Returning Member" button when they are registering (Not "New Member")
