Join us for our 6th Annual Tumbulgum Passage Race down the Tweed River
Test your skills in this scenic and challenging race covering approximately 23km of the Tweed River. Starting near the landmark Condong Sugar Mill and negotiating the bends and twists of the river downstream past the historic village of Tumbulgum, on to the Chinderah reach and the finish line at Fingal Head. This is a race spectators will enjoy following too.
Open to all boats with a yardstick* under 130, with mast height that will fit under a 7.5m bridge. Please note, this race has previously taken between 2 and 6 hours depending on conditions with an average of approx 3.5 hours. Date is picked for high tide at Condong close to the start of the race.
Travel Time: Condong is 1 hour from Southport or Ballina, 2 hours from Brisbane or Harwood/Clarence River
Race Briefing Saturday 31 Aug: 9.30am - Condong
Race Start: Not before 10:30am at Condong.
Finish: Fingal Boat Ramp - TVSC Catering Team will welcome you with homemade soup, sausgages and rolls - free to all sailors and support crew.
Presentation: Not before 2.30pm
