Our TSCQ weekender this weekend (20 and 21 February is a staggered start (around 10.30 - 11.00 am on Saturday and probably an hour earlier on Sunday) from the outer red entrance marker at Manly to go to either Sandgate or Coochiemudlo Island. The slower boats go off first so the fleet can stay in sight of each other.
The destination will be chosen depending on the weather forecast, with input from participants. It is too early to call yet but the wind forecast has improved greatly from just 24 hours ago.
The current forecast (Windy models, not Seabreeze) is a light easterly on Saturday and light westerly on Sunday. It could be a bit wet particularly on Saturday but again it is way too soon to know.
One weather model suggests an East Coast Low could develop but if it does it is likely to be well offshore.
The trophy is the L J Hooker Cup - a handicap event based on the combined times for each day.
