Friday Night Competition
The Ponds Little Atheltics competition is held at Peel Reserve, The Ponds on Friday nights throughout the season (see calendar) and are open to all registered athletes.
On arrival please assemble on the grass area just below the amenities block where you will see the plastic tubs. Please find your child’s age manager and sign in your child.
Our Friday night program will continue to have split sessions this season starting on Friday 13th September 2024
U6 - U9 – 6:00pm start (events should be finished by 7:00pm)
U10-U17– 7:30pm start (events to finish between 8:30-9pm)
All officials and helpers must be signed on at their duties by the commencement of events at 6.00 pm.
All age groups with a rostered duty (see parent roster) must be present to do their roster as noted.
It can become very cold at Peel Reserve, especially from September to November. It is therefore important to ensure that both athletes and parents bring adequate warm clothing.
WHAT TO BRING:
- The Ponds uniform
- Drink bottle with athletes name
- appropriate footwear (Runners, Spikes etc)
Bottled water is available from our canteen. A parent and/or a nominated guardian must be in attendance for each athlete each Friday night and all parents/guardians are expected to undertake their roles as general field officials.
Please ensure you are familiar with, and assist with your age groups “set up” and “pack away” duties each week, and ensure you assist with your age groups rostered duty.
