Women on Water 2 (WOW) is designed to provide the same course content and instruction as Start Sailing level 2 course in a fun, female only environment. It is for those that have completed level 1 or may have prior sailing experience. 

The course cost includes all sailing and safety equipment, as well as 3 months free membership with Townsville Sailing Club (this can start after your level 1 membership expires).

Women on Water is an evening course, running for six consecutive Thursdays.  Bring protective clothing, reef shoes, towel, water bottle, hat, and sunglasses.  A fun social environment to learn the basics of sailing #Sail Like a Girl.  Please arrive by 5pm ready to hit the water!

The cost of the course is $300, which can be paid by Credit or Debit Card at the time of registration.  10% discount for recent graduates.

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
