2022 Sunset Series Permit Meet 2

Townsville North Star Athletics club partnered with SUBWAY North Ward together offer these low-cost, fun-filled meets to all athletes 9 years (DOB 2013) through to Masters. 

These meets are designed for *everyone, 2021 registered club members and non-club members alike, so ALL VISITORS ARE WELCOME ! 

** All Non-club member athletes must register as a Townsville North Star base member first (once off $25 fee) before registering at any of our Sunset Series Meets.

 

MEET COST:

Kids 9-11 Years (DOB 2013 - 2011)              $20 all events included.  

                                                                          (3 Track & 2 Field)

Juniors 12-15 Years (DOB 2010 - 2007)        $10 per event

Seniors 16 Years +                                          $10 per event

The Townsville Sports Reserve (Red Track)

 

HOW TO GET STARTED:

Simply register online no later than midnight Sunday, 13th of February.

Online Registration closes midnight Sunday prior to the day of the meet.  A late fee of $10.00 is applicable for registrations after this time. 

 

VISITORS:  

Non-club members please register as a "base member" (once off $25 fee) first unless you were already ANQ, QA, QMA or AA registered from the 2021 club season - Ends 31st March  

** Also, Students and LAQ Members who entered as an athlete at the 2021 NQ Championships are already eligible to enter using that base membership 

 

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY:

Athletes must be a current financial member of an athletics club affiliated with ANQ, QA, QMA or AA.  Athletes who were registered members in 2021 are still financial till March 31st 2022.

** Students and LAQ members who entered as a school athlete at the 2021 NQ Championships are also eligible to enter using that membership.  

** Visitors who have signed up as a base member. (once off $25 fee)

 

ENTRY PROCEDURE:

Register online.  Registrations close midnight on Sunday,  13th of February prior to the meet date.  Late nominations accepted but a late nomination fee of an additioinal $10 will incur.

INFORMATION:

For Field Events, a minimum of three jumps (Long/Triple) or three throws are offered to all athletes in the Junior and Senior catagories. At the end of the third round the top 8 athletes will be permitted a 4th attempt. Attempt order for 4th round will start with 8th place down to current 1st place athlete.

Three attempts only for jumps and throws may be allowed for athletes aged 9 - 11 years.

All Track events are timed finals.

Athletes aged 15yrs and under, MUST be accompanied by a parent or carer for the entire event.

Age as at 31 December year of event.  Masters age as at day of event.

Age groups are

KIDS            9/10/11 years   (DOB. 2013 - 2011)

JUNIORS     12 - 15 years.    (DOB. 2010 - 2007)

SENIORS    16 years - Open/Masters (30+). 

 

No placing awards will be presented. 

Draft timetable 

Final Timetable and entry lists with allocated field event session time will be available the Friday night before the event.  No changes can be made.

To be able to hold events like this, we need the assistance from all attending.  Parents, carers, and visitors will need to assist and officiate in field and track areas as required.

Club uniform is preferred but optional. 

Shoes are required for all events.  Spikes max 7mm (Pyramid or Christmas Tree type spikes only).  Spikes can be worn for age groups 10-11yr in 100m, 200, and 400m,  Long Jump and High Jump.  12yr and above can wear spikes in those events, as well as Javelin and Triple Jump, 800m, 1500m and 3000m.

** If you are a not a member of any ANQ, QA, QMA or AA affiliated club,  North Star Athletics Club Base Membership is available and can be used at any TNSAC Sunset Series event.  The base membership fee is only payable once, but event entry fees are payable as detailed for each event.  Base membership expires 31 March 2022 and cannot be used for normal club events and club days.  Where the event is a permit meet, base members cannot use the result as a qualifier for State or National events.  See our Membership page on our website for full terms and conditions.
