To all our members who are looking for a consistent method to maintain some general conditioning and cardiovascular base outside of their specific training regime. The Parkrun organisation run free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
Every Saturday all around the country at 7.00am there are thousands of keen aussies going for a run, we have two great Parkruns in the area; UQ campus, St Lucia and at Rocks Riverside Park, Jindalee. They are a greatway to keep you motivated and has a positive effect on your overall condition in the off season, and you will probably run into one or two people you know along the way.
