Toowong Harriers Athletics Club, established in 1894, is proudly Queensland’s first athletics club and one of Australia’s oldest with an impressive line of State and National representatives across a very broad range of events through to international level competitors at Commonwealth and Olympic games.

Toowong Harriers is affiliated with both Queensland Athletics and Little Athletics Queensland, and offers membership to all ages from 3 to 93, so the whole family is welcome!

Our members benefit from access to a well-maintained grass 400m track, new collapsible hurdles and field facilities to support high/long/triple Jump (all synthetic track surfaces) and shot put/discus/hammer/javelin and steeple barrier all at our home field at Jack Cook Memorial Park, Taringa.  We also have a strong middle/long distance membership and have proudly hosted Queensland Athletics Cross Country series meets for decades.

As a club we engage openly with the community and encourage all levels of ability to be involved in an active lifestyle.  The club operates all year round throughout the summer and winter individual and team relay competitions.  We offer an open clubhouse training facility on Sunday mornings to our competing members as well as weekly distance running sessions and specialist athletic event coaching throughout the summer season.

Hello Harriers, Welcome to the start of the 2024/25 Queensland Athletics Season. We have now closed the curtains on 2023/24, which was a very challenging and long season in so many ways, but with so much achieved, it will require a separate newsletter to go through all of our member's and club achievements. The membership portal is live, you can renew your annual membership via the Registration button on the revolutionise Club Portal https://www.revolutionise.com.au/toowongharriers/home · Read more

Well, what an absolutely jam-packed couple of months we have had, the high and lows of competition at the national level and the challenges of natural disasters imposed upon all of us.
