TIODA is making available on-water regatta coaching support, for Open and Intermediate sailors, at the upcoming PJ Super Series Regatta November 27th & 28, hosted by SAndy bay Sailing Club.
Unlike Green Fleet, Open and Intermediate sailors cannot be assisted with technical assistance during a race. Being out on water can be daunting.
On water coaching support provides Open and Intermediate sailors with the reassurance that someone is out on-water with them looking after their well-being and sailing development on water.
Sailors will be provided assistance with:

receiving on water coaching between races ( what went well - where to improve- conditions advice etc)

assistance with minor equipment failures ( ie minor repairs on water between races)

experienced technical coaching on water
-
a friendly face
-
coaches can carry sailors' extra provisions- food, jackets etc

briefing and de briefing coach support
-
general mustering on land and sea!
This model of on water support is the standard for States , Nationals and International Optimist regattas and we hope this is a good way to introduce sailors to this support as well as helping them enjoy and improve their sailing
Registration is required for both groups before 24th Novembe, 2021.
Cost:
Open coaching is $75 for the weekend.
Intermediate coaching will be free of charge - Thanks to the assistance of our sponsors - PJ's, 42 South Marine / North Sails & MUSTO - TIODA will be providing on-water support for the intermediate fleet. Familiar face to many sailors, Meg Goodfellow will be providing support to assist sailors transitioning from Green Fleet to the main race course
