Welcome to TIODA

The association is here to help provide opportunities for Tasmanian optimist sailors to learn, develop and most of all have fun and enjoy the water.

TIODA supports and encourages Optimist sailing through regular coaching camps from green fleet, through to intermediate and open fleet levels.

As well as delivering regular coaching and training events, TIODA conducts the annual Tasmanian International Optimist State Championships and encourages and supports its members and their families to compete at regattas in Tasmania, interstate and internationally.

Membership of TIODA is renewed annually, and is open to all optimist sailors in Tasmania. Membership of TIODA is required before a sailor can participate in training camps and/or State and National Championships.
