Welcome to the Thirroul Surf Club Silver Salties "Walk & Talk" program! This program is part of Surf Life Saving Australia's Silver Salties initiative, supported by State Centres and funded by Sport Australia through the Move It - Better Ageing Grant program. Silver Salties is a physical activity and social connections initiative for older Australians, but all ages are welcome!
The Thirroul Surf Club Silver Salties "Walk & Talk" program is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment. Led by Program Leaders , Club Captain Ian Sakoff and Member Allan Hutton , all fitness levels and abilities are welcome and you're encouraged to stay for a cuppa in the clubhouse at the conclusion of the session.
There is no fee to be involved, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe. All COVID-19 precautions are also in place i.e. stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc..
The group will meet on the front verandah at the clubhouse. Those people who are keen to go for a walk and talk will head off on walk around the coastline and everyone will meet back at the clubhouse for a coffee!
The Thirroul Surf Club Silver Salties "Walk & Talk" program will commence on Thursday 6th January 2022 and run until Thursday 3 March 2022 from 9am - 11am. Participants are welcome to attend as often as they can!
Registration Options

3. Just turn up on the day and Program Leaders Ian and Allan will assist you.
