OutThere Sailing is designed as a course for teens who want to learn how to sail in a fun environment with a group of their peers.
This program covers the fundamentals and goes beyond the basics, aiming to improve sailing skills and learn new techniques.
Topics covered include the basics of:
- Roll Tacking
- Triangle course
- Better boat handling
- Speed control
- Launch and recovery
- Capsize recovery
- Sailing rules

Overview
This is an OutThere Sailing combined course (a combination of OutThere Sailing 1, 2, 3). The combined course enables individual progression accross its duration, whilst allowing friends to remain together.
OutThere Sailing will always be about fun, social engagement and safety.
Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
Course Outcome
By the end of the OutThere Sailing combined course, the participants will achieve the standards of either OutThere Sailing 1, 2, or 3 and have had a lot of FUN with friends!
