Registrations for this event are closed.

This competition is an open event for all fencers. It is suitable for secondary school fencers and up. Fencers must be affiliated with Fencing New Zealand. To affiliate go to: https://dev.fencing.org.nz/index.php/membership and choose Fencing Mid South.

Venue: Fencing Institute, 91 Jack Hinton Drive, Addington

Timetable:
Foil: Saturday 14th September. Registration 11.30 - 11.45am for start at midday
Epee: Sunday 15th September. Registration 10.00 - 10.15 am for start at 10.30am.

Format: Open individual competition for Foil and Epee.

First Round: Poules with bouts to 5 hits.

Second Round: Direct Elimination to 15 hits.

There will be separate men’s and women’s events if numbers permit.

Prizes: Foil: 1st Titanium guard, 2nd $40, 3rd equal $20

             Epee: 1st $100, 2nd $40, 3rd equal $20

Entry Fee: $20 per event. Payable by internet banking (preferred): The Fencing Institute 03-1707-0148185-000 or cash at time of registration. Entries Close 8pm Thursday 12th September.

Gear Requirements:
•    350N plastrons Jackets, breeches (to hold the wireless gear snuggly) mask and glove. Chest protectors are compulsory for women. Gear can be hired. Contact us ahead  of time.
•    Not required: lame bibs, FIE maraging blades.

Lames, mask safety and security attachment will be checked on the piste.

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available free of charge. Our kitchen facilities are available for you to bring your own food including toastie pie maker.

Results: This competition will have live results available on the Fencing Institute website.
