TeeMates Membership Terms and Conditions:

All TeeMates Memberships are subject to the following terms and conditions.

1. Purchase of Membership

• TeeMates membership is only available for purchase online. The parent or guardian of any applicant should check all applicant details entered are correct at the time of application. Subject to these terms and conditions and upon successful payment of membership and acceptance of a membership application, a confirmation email with a receipt will be issued within twenty-four hours of the successful transaction taking place.
• If a TeeMates membership application is accepted a membership gift will be issued as soon as practicable to Australian residents only.
• Parent and Member demographic details must be provided are compulsory and will be kept on file with Golf Australia (GA) through its membership and events portal and in accordance with GA’s privacy policy: GA Privacy Policy.
• TeeMates reserves its right not to accept any Membership application in its absolute discretion.
• TeeMates membership is not transferrable and cannot be sold.

2. Term of Membership

TeeMates Membership is valid for 12 months starting from the date an application is accepted. Membership entitles a member to access the benefits of TeeMates from the date an application is accepted and will be subject to the following terms and conditions listed below.

3. Membership Subscriptions

• TeeMates Plus – Full Playing Member ($109 per annum)
• TeeMates – Full Playing Member and a financial member of a golf club ($49)
• TeeOff – Non-active Playing Member (Free).

4. Membership Classification

• TeeMates membership is open to all boys and girls who are at least 5 years old but who have not reached their 18th birthday.
• The membership fees are $109 or $49 incl. GST depending on the membership category selected and requires applicants to complete an online application to become involved. A membership login and password will be issued to you upon acceptance of your membership application. Your membership login and password is required for access to the membership and events platform.

5. TeeMates Member Code of Conduct

• All members are bound by GA’s Code of Conduct (Code). A copy of the Code is available at www.golf.org.au. Any breach of the Code may be recorded on the Central Register of the Code (Register). The Register may be accessed (and published from time to time) by GA for the purposes of administering competitions or state championships, events, competitions, practice sessions or major activities conducted or sanctioned by a State/Territory Association, or any State/Territory Association or GA codes of conduct and/or other related matters.

6. Payment and GST

Payment of TeeMates Membership and Event fees must be paid online in full via PayPal and credit/debit card. All prices include GST.

7. Refund Policy

As a general policy, TeeMates Memberships are non-refundable. Requests for refunds may be made in writing and any refund will be determined at the sole discretion of TeeMates Management.

8. Cancellation Policy

TeeMates reserves its right to cancel a member’s TeeMates Membership without a refund where that member is deemed by TeeMates in its absolute discretion to have breached these terms and conditions (including, without limitation, where that member attempts to transfer or sell their TeeMates Membership and/or associated benefits and/or where they have breached the Code).

9. TeeMates Members’ Privacy

GA will collect, use, disclose and store TeeMates members information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and GA’s privacy policy: GA Privacy Policy. The Act contains 10 National Privacy Principles that set standards for the handling of personal information. Golf Australia has a commitment to privacy and the safeguarding of, visitor and staff personal information.

You have a right to access any personal information that GA may hold about you, including a right to correct your information. GA will not charge a fee for you to access your personal information.

10. Communications

By joining as a member and providing us with your contact information you agree to receive our electronic communications: Member e-News. Further, you agree to receive information from golf clubs and/or other commercial offers when available. Should you not wish to receive communication from us, please unsubscribe from these services by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Golf Australia will provide contact details for all TeeMates members with a residential address in New South Wales/ACT to Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) for the purposes of receiving information regarding JNJG events, with JNJG being the provider of events for TeeMates members within NSW/ACT.

11. Membership Renewals

Members must renew their TeeMates Membership online. By renewing online, you again accept these terms and conditions of TeeMates Membership (including as amended by from time to time by GA).

12. Variation to JGA Membership Terms and Conditions

GA may from time to time where in its opinion it is reasonably necessary, vary the terms and conditions of TeeMates Membership. TeeMates will communicate any changes to its membership terms and conditions via the GA website or by email to Members. Members will have no claim or right whatever against GA by reason of any change made to the terms and conditions of TeeMates Membership.

13. General

Membership rights are subject to the policies and operational decisions imposed by GA.

Golf Australia Limited reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change all or any of the Membership details online, in the guide and on any accompanying forms. Further, Golf Australia reserves the right to decline or cancel membership at any time.
