Our Monday Pre-Schooler's SkateStars starts back on Monday 05/02/2024

We welcome both Pre-Schooler's and Home Schooler's.

Come along and learn to skate in a fun and safe environment with our expert coach.

Based on the National SkateStars (Learn to Skate) Program, the skaters learn life skills such as balance, posture, human movement, resilience and discipline, in a Fun, Inclusive, Safe and Highly engaging lesson.

Skate Skills taught include:

- How to fall safely

- How to get up safely

- How to Stand on Skates (Ready Position)

- Balancing on each Skate

- Basic Forward Skating

- T-Starts

- Stopping

- Basic Forward Stroking

- Basic Forward Scissor Skating

- Crouching on Skates

- Jumping on Skates

Once the Basic Skills are mastered, the Skaters are introduced to more advanced skills including Skating Backwards.

The Class runs from 10:00am - 11:00am, and is followed by our Monday SkateFit Class for any Mum's or Dad's that want to learn to skate.
