Discover Sailing Days are a fantastic way to have a great day out with your friends and family.

Our Try Sailing Day is free to attend and all boats (dinghies) and safety equipment are provided by the Club.

All you need to bring is clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet, sun screen and a hat. Shoes with non-marking soles are preferred.

We look forward to showing you just how fun, safe, accessible and affordable Sailing is.

To participate in this event, the registered person/s MUST:

• be comfortable wearing a life jacket
• be able to swim unaided
• be aware the Club may contact you after the event for feedback and/or news of future events
• be aware that the Club may take photographs, unless you expressly disallow it
• follow all instructions issued by the event holders or persons in charge of the dinghies associated with the event including support vessels

Who should do this course?

This is the perfect 'taster' for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time. This is the perfect introduction and can be the ideal way for you to begin your sailing journey, without having to commit to a full training course.

Course Outcome

Following the course, you will receive a completion certificate.

 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
