Since its inception, Tamworth Gymnastics Club has been excited to be involved in the National Primary Games. The gymnastics component has until this point been limited to our competitive classes. In keeping with the spirit of the event, which is heavily focused on participation, we would like to once again invite our Gym Fun, Advanced Gym Fun and Tumbling gymnasts to participate in this year’s National Primary Games.
When is it on?
The event is held on Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th July. The schedule will be finalised once we receive final entries. The session will run for approximately 2.5 hours. We are hoping to have the event run on Saturday only, but this will depend on entries.
What happens on the day?
The event will take on a similar format to our Winter/Summer Carnivals, where the kids will perform a routine and be evaluated by a judge on each apparatus, where they will receive a sticker on their certificate, and an overall medal based on their own level of achievement. They will not be competing against other people, but simply aiming to achieve their personal best. There will be a coach present with the gymnasts the whole time, and they will be able to prompt and support the gymnast throughout their performance.
What does my child wear?
No uniform is required. Gymnasts are able to wear whatever they normally do to training. If you would like to purchase a leotard, Josie will be selling them from 3:30 – 4:00pm each week day.
What does it cost?
The cost to enter is $50 per gymnast. This amount is payable to Tamworth Gymnastics Club. This will include entry, a medal, a certificate, an NPG Beanie, and entry to the National Primary Games function (TBA).

Canteen
We will be running a sausage sizzle and cake stall throughout the weekend. We will also have hot and cold drinks for sale.
