2024 Winter Carnival Invitation

We would like to invite your child to attend the TGC Winter Carnival on Sunday 26th May!

The Winter Carnival is a fantastic opportunity for the kids to show you what they have been learning in the gym, and receive a GOLD MEDAL for their efforts! A sausage sandwich and drink is also included in the entry fee. The entry fee is $35 and the closing date is 7th May. We will accept late entries after this with a late fee of $10.

Please note all attendees must be enrolled in Term 2 classes in order to participate.

Kindy Gym gymnasts will run through some fun circuits, set to music, and receive their very own TGC Gold Medal! The circuit will have a Winter theme - so get out all of your Frozen gear!

Our Gym Fun and Advanced Gym Fun gymnasts will be performing our Gemstone program. The Gemstone Program is a series of 10 progressions for 5 Skill Learning Area's on each of the Apparatus. Our fortnightly TGC programs are based around these progression markers. The Gemstone Program also refers to the 5 activities that will be evaluated on each apparatus at any given Gemstone Level at a TGC Carnival. The Gemstone Program gives gymnasts the opportunity to see a meaningful and measurable progression of their skill learning and acquisition. For parents, this also gives a clearer understanding of where their child may be situated in terms of their development. For gymnasts, it gives an additional incentive to improve skills, and collect memorable Gemstone medals along the way. An email will be sent out at the start of Term 2 advising which Gemstone level your child is on.

The Tumbling gymnasts will be performing modified versions of the Gymnastics Australia Tumbling Program routines. The will receive our special TGC Medals, which we also hand out at our competitive events.

The Winter Carnival will be held on Sunday 26th May via the following draft schedule. Please note the times / sessions are subject to change once entries are recieved:

Sunday 26th May

1. 9:00am - 10:00am: Kindy Gym (1 parent to assist)
2. 10:30am - 12:30pm: Gym Fun Opal
3. 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Gym Fun all other Gemstones
4. 3:30pm - 5:30pm: Advanced Gym Fun and Tumbling

There will be no limits on the number of spectators, everyone is welcome to come along and cheer! We will be running a canteen throuhgout the day (sausage sizzle, cold drinks, homemade cakes and lollies). We ask you to support the Club by not bringing in external food and beverages. All money raised from the canteen goes towards the purchase of new equipment for your children to use.
