It is with a very heavy heart and lots of sadness that I write this email to let you know that this afternoon, we lost one of our life members, a club stalwart and all around nice gentleman with the passing of DES SMITH.

Des was a great coach at Club, Association and State Level and  we were very lucky to have him as part of our club for so many years.

He would always be sitting up outside the control room or up under the trees keeping his eye on the games on diamonds 1 and 2 and was always able to tell you if you asked how the game was going.  HIs knowledge of our game was quite remarkable.

As soon as we find out any more information, I'll let everyone know by email.
