June Update: Trivia Wrap Up and Grudge Match in Bris-vegas!

Whats Happened:

Trivia Night

We had a blast at our Trivia Night! A huge Stingers round of applause to organisers Rachel, Ivan and our dedicated volunteers for putting on a fantastic night. 

Our winners for the night were The Duke of Port, and a 3 way tie for 2nd place with tables  Light Drizzle, Ripping Jack and Braun Over Brains. 

With the generous support of our player, family and mates we raised $10,300 from all of our generous attendees. Events like Trivia Night are essential for the operations of the club, including professional coaching and maintaining accessibility for the Queer community to participate in the sport of waterpolo. Stingers gives a huge and heartfelt thankyou to everyone who came on the night and contributed to a success.

Metro and INTRA Season Start

Metro and INTRA Winter season is now in full swing, with 2 teams in the W Metro comp, 1 in the M Metro comp and 4 INTRA teams. Have a great season.

IGLA Teams going to London

Best of luck to our 2 stingers teams competing in the recreation division at IGLA in London! Keep an eye out on Facebook for updates on how they are going.

Grudge Match in Brisbane

This September the Brisbane Tritons will be hosting the Rainbow Grudge Match, where the Stingers, Melbourne Surge and Perth Whitepointers will settle their differences in the pool. Saturday 30th is the tournament, Sunday is Big Gay Day in Brisbane (separate event) and Monday is a Public Holiday in NSW. Keep an eye out for further signups soon!

• Brisbane Grudge Match - Saturday 30th September 
• Gay Games in Guadalajara, November 2023 - Talk to Kez directly if you are interested in coming on the tours.
• Melbourne Grudge Match March 2024 (during Midsumma). 
• IGLA in Buenos Aires, November 2024 (coincides with Pride events in Argentina)
