What |We proudly extend financial assistance to veterans and their families in the Newcastle area, facilitating the advancement of their sailing pursuits. This initiative is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Port Waratah, for which we express our sincere gratitude. 

The Flow | The course will be delivered by NYC, and will be held over 4 sessions. All equipment is provided. 

  • SVSP Start Skippering course 
    • Thursday 7th November 9:00am to 1:00pm
    • Thursday 14th November 9:00am to 1:00pm
    • Thursday 21st November 9:00am to 1:00pm
    • Thursday 28th November  9:00am to 1:00pm 

All we ask is you share some photos from the day as this significantly helps us in securing future sponsorship opportunties.

Where to Park | Parking is the NCYC car park.

Where | Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, 95 Hannell St, Wickham NSW 2293

Where to Park | There is lots of parking around - please beware of parking restrictions.

Cost | These courses normally cost $375pp at NYC. With our fundraising and the support of NYC we are able to offer:

  • SVSP Supporters: $0 | 100% funded through SVSP fundraising - we will refunded your $170 upon completion of your course (please forward your certificate and a copy of your invoice / the reimburstment concept is to reduce wastage of our fundraising by no-shows.
  • Non-SVSP Supporters: $170 | subsidised (normally $375)

If you are experiencing financial hardship, please let us know, we will sponsor/fund your participation.
