At It Again: Sunraysia Teams ready for Horsham
Sunraysia’s championship-winning volleyball teams are back in action this weekend, heading to Horsham for the highly anticipated 29th Annual Volleyball Tournament. With their strongest chance yet, Sunraysia’s talented Under 17s and Premier 1 Men’s teams are determined to bring home the trophies and add to their growing collection of silverware.
Division 1 Men’s Team Eyes Big Win Against Champions
The Sunraysia Premier 1 Men’s team faces a significant challenge as they take on BBJSC Packenham, the reigning Premier League Men’s Champions. With BBJSC Packenham eyeing a fourth consecutive victory in the Grampians, Sunraysia will need to dig deep to stop their opponents from securing another. The Sunraysia men bring something special to the court—a camaraderie that sets them apart from others. When they wear the Sunraysia colours, there’s an unmistakable sense of pride in where they come from. Each player is a standout in his own right, making it impossible to single out one leader; together they just get it done.
Under 17s return to Horsham
The Under 17 Sunraysia team will face off against Junior Country Championship rivals, Horsham, for the first time since securing the Junior Country Championships title in September, in the same town just around the corner from the stage of the final, both teams will be excited to go at it again and Sunraysia will have to be at their absolute best as Horsham will be eager to settle the ledger this weekend. Injury scares to Sunraysia in the lead-up haven’t slowed down the lads, with these young blokes eager to add another trophy to Sunraysia’s already full cabinet. Aged between 12 and 16, the team members are tightly knit, understanding each other’s games from extensive training sessions, and shared victories. Their chemistry, built over hours of play, gives them a unique edge.
Good Luck to Mildura Volleyball Academy
Sunraysia Volleyball also extends their best wishes to the Mildura Volleyball Academy teams competing this weekend, including the Under 17 Women, Premier 2 Women, and State League 1 Men. These three teams are looking for the goods with a mix of experience and youth to give them every opportunity to be there abouts on Sunday.
Good Luck all players and teams, travel safely and above all have fun.
