Parent Duties

Little Athletics can only function through volunteers. All the regular faces you see at the track – committee members, officials, starters, age managers, canteen manager, equipment specialists – they are all volunteers. In addition, every week we need 60 parent volunteers to fulfill a range of duties that enable us to deliver Saturday morning competition for our athletes.

It is a requirement of registration at Sutherland Little Athletics that a parent/carer from each family work on a roster system. All jobs are fairly easy and no experience is necessary. Events cannot commence until all areas are staffed. Not helping risks your child not being allowed to compete or receive an award at the end of the season.

The parent roster will be once every 2-3 weeks.

Should your child qualify for Zone, Regional or State level competition, then you must also perform a rostered duty for our Centre, which is in addition to club parent duties.

NOTE - For the Parent Duty Roster please select the parent duty via the SignUp website.  This is made available for the following Saturday's competition every Sunday, with a link posted on our facebook page / TeamApp / website.
