Queensland Country Championships Wrap-Up:
What a weekend in Mackay!
Our Sunny Coast men took home gold, defeating Gold Coast 10-6 in the final. A huge congratulations to Josh Eyles, who was named Countries MVP!
Our Sunny Coast women battled through the Mackay heat, backing up for their second game of the day in the bronze medal match against Gold Coast. They fought hard but narrowly missed out, going down 10-6.
That’s a wrap on QLD Countries 2025! A big thank you to Mackay Water Polo for being fantastic hosts and keeping the lightning at bay so the game times stayed on track. And of course, thank you to WPQ for another great event.
