A Little Bit of History
Sunbury Softball Club began in 1985 as a local competition that played in one of Sunbury's parks with makeshift diamonds. Over the years as interest grew in softball around Sunbury, we began to play a travelling league that included the likes of other softball leagues including Keilor and Sunshine to see what competition Victoria had to offer.
As the passion grew inside of the Club, we decided it was time to advocate for ourselves and become an Association. Thus, with the help of the committee and Hume City Council, Sunbury Softball Association was born in 2011 with brand new international standard softball diamonds.
Since then we have welcomed t-ballers, juniors, and men and women's seniors have proudly played our pre seasons, and main Summer Seasons at our local diamonds!m In between our season we represent Sunbury Softball Association in competitions including Masters (over 35s), under 17s, and open championships! Where we play teams from all over Victoria and Australia.
We are also really proud that over the years, some of our players have been selected to play at a Victorian State level. This is where they play the other States and Territories in their selected age groups.
With a good mix of experienced and new players in the 2024/2025 seaon, we are proud to offer a fun and inclusive environment!
