Welcome to the 2025 season.

Planning is well underway at both Club and Association level, and with this we are able to provide you all with some updates.

Preseason training has commenced for our senior squads, and we look forward to the Whyalla Hockey Association’s Hookin2Hockey program starting in the coming weeks for new and existing junior players.

We encourage all our members to stay up to date through our weekly newsletter, social media and the Heja app for our players.

Annual General Meeting

The Club AGM is being held on Thursday 20^th February, 8:00pm at the Whyalla Hockey Association. It is extremely important members attend this meeting to vote in our 2025 Elected Committee.

Season Dates

The 2025 premiership season is scheduled to beginning the week of Monday 28^th April – Week 1 of Term 2 for all our parents.

As mentioned above, our seniors have begun preseason training sessions on Thursday nights. All our teams, under 7 to seniors will commence team trainings the week of Monday 17^th March (see the flyer below for more information).

SCHC are hopeful of organising some preseason matches through March and April. We will provide more details on this as information comes to hand.

SCHC Coaches

In January the club announced the return of both our 2024 Division 1 Coaches, Jesse O’Keefe with the men and Stacey Theologou with the women. We are extremely close to finalising our Division 2 & Junior coaches and will promote these in the coming weeks.

Whyalla Hockey Association – Hookin2Hockey

The WHA Hookin2Hockey program commences on Friday 28^th February at 5:30pm.

This is the perfect introductory program for new players and a great way for current players to practice their skills. The first session is a FREE come and try session, with sticks provided on the night!
