Fantastic turnout today for the Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club 40th Easter Fun Run. Around 200 took to the Stawell course, tackling the beautiful bushland and tracks.

Fastest 5km was under 20’s National runner Finn Russell (Mt Eliza), finishing in 15:58mins. 2nd male Ben Hayes (Ipswich QLD) 17:30mins, 3rd Alan Craigieburn (Canberra). 

Female 5km winner was Darcy Miller (Wesleyvale, TAS) 19:14mins. 2nd Hayley Field (Blackburn, Vic) 19:53mins, 3rd Rachel Thompson (Geelong) 20:39mins

Fastest 3km Under 16’s boys was Josh Field (Blackburn) 10:40mins. 2nd Callum Wade (Warrnambool) 11:28mins, 3rd Lenny Gray (Melbourne) 11:49mins. 

Under 16’s girls winner Sophie Field (Blackburn) 11:58mins. 2nd Harriet Gray (Melbourne) 12:16mins, 3rd Claudia Terney (Camberwell) 13:07mins. 

11year old Beth Borgelt (Geelong) won the Matthew Riordan memorial Random Runner Sash, she completed the 3km course.
