NSTC Update - May 2024

With the weather starting to cool down leading into the season, our thoughts are switching towards winter as the activity at the NSTC is starting to increase.    
 
During the first week of the April school holidays the NSTC hosted its inaugural School Holiday Program which was extremely well received.  18 young athletes of varying abilities honed their skills in preparation for the upcoming winter.  The program included airbag and acro sessions spread across the week. The NSTC also hosted the Pre-Season FUTURES camp where 36 participants aged 12-16 were given an insight into the work that goes into making an athlete and what they need to do to sustain their performance when they are not on snow. The camp was open to all disciplines which helped bring together many clubs and participants. Read more

NSTC Access Membership Renewal

Snow Australia memberships for the 2024 season are now due for renewal. To access the activities at the NSTC, guests are required to be financial members of Snow Australia. NSTC Access membership is required for those accessing the NSTC. If you have a higher-level membership with Snow Australia (such as discipline registration) NSTC Access is included.

July School Holiday Program

With the July school Holidays just around the corner the NSTC is excited to add some bonus sessions to our schedule for those visiting during this time. The sessions will be open to the community and will be scheduled during the afternoons for those wishing to combine some morning skiing or snowboarding with some afternoon Airbag or Acro. The NSTC will be running 7 Airbag sessions over the school holiday period.

Airbag Sessions

  • Wednesday July 10th - 3pm – 5.15pm  
  • Friday July 12th - 3pm – 5.15pm   
  • Saturday July 13th – 3pm – 5.15pm   
  • Sunday July 14th – 3pm – 5.15pm   
  • Wednesday July 17th - 3pm – 5.15pm   
  • Friday July 19th – 3pm – 5.15pm   
  • Saturday July 20th – 3pm – 5.15pm  

Both the High Performance and Development bags will be running during these sessions with up to 25 spots available for guests in each session. Please arrive early to maximize the winter daylight hours.

Intro2plastic sessions will run prior to the Friday and Saturday sessions. Please note this is not a learn to ski or ride lesson but a session for intermediate and advanced riders to progress into jumping.

The Intro2plastic sessions can be booked online and once accredited you will be able to join the Community Park Sessions.

Be sure to jump in quick to book into these sessions as they will fill up fast!

July School Holiday Program

Young Women Acro Program

We are thrilled to introduce our Young Women Acro Program which is tailored specifically to the needs and interests of young women, with a focus on skill development and confidence building with individualised attention and encouragement from our instructors. The Young Women Acro Program is held from 4.45pm on Wednesday afternoons and open to young women aged 13 – 16 yrs.

Term 2 Acro classes are in full swing with places still available in some classes for both permanent and casual registrations. Our acro classes give children the ability to learn new skills and have a ton of fun with our dynamic trampoline classes.

Our instructors are dedicated to helping your child develop fundamental trampoline skills in a safe and supportive environment. From mastering basic jumps to learning more advanced flips and tricks, your child will progress at their own pace and build confidence with each class.

Acro is a great activity, whether you are looking to improve your skills, get a workout, or simply have fun.  Bookings can be made online for financial members only. View the schedule HERE.

Jindabyne Snow Sale - June 8-9

Members of the public and local shops are invited to sell pre-loved ski and snowboard equipment, including skis, snowboards, poles, boots and outwear at the Jindabyne Snow Sale

All funds raised will go to subsidise the cost of school skiing programs for Jindabyne Central School and Snowy Mountains Grammar School students to encourage participation in snowsports.

Snow Academy is Snow Australia’s online education hub providing athletes, coach’s, officials, and members of the snowsports community with access to specialised courses, accreditations, and certifications.  

New for 2024, all Snow Australia members and participants (those with an active SnowID) can access Snow Academy directly via their Snow Australia account as well as view all their completed courses and accreditations.
