Snow Australia's Pathway Providers International Programs |
As the 2024 Australian winter winds down, those pursuing the participation and performance snowsports pathways cast their eyes to northern winter activity. Snow Australia recognises a variety of clubs and programs that operate domestic and international programs.
An athletes’ sporting journey includes various development stages. Each stage is unique and is an important stepping-stone for those athletes hoping to succeed in high performance sport.
To assist the community with understanding the different stages of athlete development, Snow Australia has developed discipline specific Snow Australia Athlete Pathways. The Snow Australia Athlete Pathway aligns with the Sport Australia FTEM (Foundation, Talent, Elite and Mastery) framework, which is representative of the ‘whole of sport’ pathway continuum. Fastride Europe 2025 SBX Program
After a very successful program last year our plan is once again to follow the Europa Cup event schedule, which this season has a much more reasonable travel schedule. This will also allow us to operate from a proposed central base in Morzine, France for the majority of the season with travel to scheduled locations for EC events.
Europe SBX Program Dates
- Early November 2024 - Mid December 2024
- Break for Christmas/New Year
- Early January 2025 - Late March 2025
Europe SBX Program Overview:
Comprehensive, SBX focused program for athletes competing on the Europa Cup circuit. This program is for FIS age athletes with international SBX racing experience. Requires international Snowracer registration and requisite Snow Australia requirements for competing on the Europa Cup circuit. This program will follow the published FIS Europa Cup SBX events and be based in France. Our coaches are previous athletes with international SBX racing experience and worked with our previous program in European and North America. Spaces are strictly limited to a maximum of 10 athletes (2 coaches and support staff).
Europe SBX Program EOI:
If athletes could please advise via reply email if they will be attending during which dates and if they would likely require accommodation or storage of luggage and equipment over the Christmas/New Year break this will help greatly with our planning.
- Attendance for any of the Nov/Dec period ~4-6 weeks training (including Pitztal EC)
- Accommodation/storage over Christmas/New Year Break
- Attendance for any of the Jan-Mar period ~12 weeks training and EC events
Fastride Junior Colorado 2025 Program

Location:
- Copper Mountain and other resorts in Colorado
Program Dates:
- Late December 2024 - Early February 2025
Accommodation:
- Sliverthorne or Frisco (if staying with the program group).
Colorado Program Overview:
Junior program for athletes aged 13-16 years focused on solidifying foundational skills across snowboard freeride, park, SBX and GS. Program will include opportunities for USASA competition experience (pending published competition schedule) to provide athletes the opportunity to qualify for USASA nationals later in the season (March/April). Three Exciting Opportunities Coming Up with Turn and Burn
Readiness Camp: December 12th - 17th - more info on RC - https://readinesscamps.com/
We are thrilled to announce our 5th Readiness Camp! This year, we’re refreshing and reviving the Snow Readiness Camp, adding an exciting new layer to the experience with Chumpy’s Boarding House. Chumpy played a significant role at TAB, and his boarding house program was a huge success. While we hit the snow, we’ll incorporate elements from his program, allowing campers to learn like pros in nutrition, media training, social media management, waxing, breath work, and recovery. Combined with our mental strength content, action sports activations, and guest speakers, our campers are in for an incredible week.
At the Readiness Camp, we delve into what it takes to perform at the highest level. We believe it’s something unique within the mind, something extraordinary. Our camp offers the best opportunity to discover that special ingredient. With guidance from some of the world’s top action sports athletes, we provide coaching and mentorship to elevate your mindset and performance to new heights. This camp is located in Jindabyne and runs out of the Sport & Rec.
NSTC Airbag Camp: December 17th - 22nd
We then jump straight into our Airbag Camp for 5 days of progression, pushing ourselves in preparation for the NH and next domestic season ahead while using the skills just acquired at the Readiness Camp.
What you get at the Airbag Camp:
- Transport from Canberra airport (for those flying from interstate)
- Intro to plastics (learn how to ride the dry slope before you jump)
- 5 hours of daily airbag training
- Accommodation (next to airbag)
- Food
- Daily trampolining and acro training
- 24/7 care
- Video review
- Folder with clips/video
Livigno, Italy: January 4th - February 4th
Last season marked our inaugural camp in Livigno, and it was truly unforgettable. The park boasted some of the best jumps and rails we’ve ever had, creating epic moments for all involved. Our SBX team also made waves, competing across Europe and leaving their mark.
Here’s what you need to know about Livigno and our camp:
Livigno’s Mottolino ski resort, home to our camp and the future site of the 2026 Winter Olympics, features an incredible terrain park suitable for all levels. With our experienced coaches guiding them, your child will not only learn and progress but also forge lifelong friendships with fellow winter sports enthusiasts.
SBX Program Enhancements:
While SBX joined us last year in Livigno, we realised it wasn't the best product we could offer. This year, SBX will be on the road more, traveling, training, and competing in more contests to refine and advance their skills. Full race calendar is not out yet but we are taking bookings and have a solid plan in place.
Don't miss out on these incredible opportunities to elevate your skills and experience the best in action sports training and coaching!
More info:
While these camps have been designed to work together for the ultimate outcomes, they are still fantastic as standalone experiences and can be booked separately. Although the website doesn't offer a package for all three camps, we see great value in participants doing all three, so we will provide special accommodations for those who choose to attend all of them.
If you are interested in participating in one or all three camps, please email Ryantiene.tnb@gmail.com. You can also find more information and book the camps below.

Thredbo Ski Racing Club (TSRC)
2025 TSRC NORTHERN HEMISPHERE TRAINING PROGRAM (NON-FIS ATHLETES)
Program Dates:
Sunday 5th January to Friday 31st of January 2025
Destination:
Tignes Le Lac/Val-d’lsere, France https://en.tignes.net/skiing/ski-area
Registration:
Register your interest by emailing info@thredboskiracing.com
Program available for:
All TSRC U12/U14/U16 training athletes from the 2024 Australian season who will be offered places for the 2025 season as well as any new TSRC members confirmed by the Club as training members for the 2025 Australian Season. Athletes training with other Australian Pathway Providers are invited to express interest.
General Information:
TSRC has developed a partnership with a leading International Ski Academy, Apex 2100, in the heart of the French Alps utilising the resorts of Tignes & Val D’Isere. These world class resorts are situated at good elevation for consistent snow and provide endless amounts of accessible terrain and multiple training opportunities through our partnership with the academy. For those who have never been, take time to familiarise yourself online with the huge expanse of terrain available.
Overall Aim of the Program: This program offers a continuation of developing skill with long term athletic development in mind. To provide our members the opportunity to ski, train and race with their home Club on a year-round basis if they wish. The program will eliminate the need to source your own private provider and create some consistency for our athletes. Pair this with our domestic winter schedule, some physical training options and other engagement pieces in the shoulder seasons and we are on our way to a more full-time offering for our members. The many benefits of this type of offering will not only strengthen us as a Club but most importantly, it will ensure we are helping provide our young athletes with the necessary aspects to develop through the pathway of ski racing.
On-Snow Program Expectations: The program will see a progression from Thredbo with the appropriate age specific mixture of technical freeskiing/drills and a mixed range of course environments including brush/stubbie and full gate training courses.
Those in the younger age groups will naturally spend more time developing skills through technical freeskiing and less time than the older ages in a gate/course environment. This mix will be determined by coaches with the best interests of development in mind.
Following is a loose overview of what to expect on-snow during the program. As always, our sport is performed outdoors and we are constantly at the mercy of mother nature and what is delivered to us. Please understand the program will almost always need to be adjusted to best suit the weather and conditions.
- Week 1 / Technical freeskiing and drills as main focus.
- Weeks 2 - 4 / Age appropriate mix of course and gate training environments whilst maintaining some focus on technical freeskiing. Training will generally be performed in blocks of 3-5 days. Be prepared for this to change with weather, conditions and fatigue as main indicators to ensure quality of training.
Program Cost:
The cost of the 4-week training program will be determined in August as participants are confirmed after deposits are received. The board of the TSRC is committed to providing a cost effective solution for families as we are mindful of the external expenses associated with training overseas.
Accommodation:
To be arranged privately by families. There is mostly a Saturday-Saturday check in/out policy in Tignes and nearby Val-d’Isere. Hence for this program you may need to make a booking 4th January to the 1st of February. TSRC may provide accommodation to offer athletes supervised care for parents who cannot attend for any or all of the camp. This will be charged back on a cost recovery basis but an estimate will be provided ahead of time. Preference will be given to those who require accommodation for the 4 weeks then down from there.
Coaching:
Our aim is to use as many of our TSRC coaches as possible during our international program to assist in creating consistency of coaching and messaging. For the first two years of the program, we have had a coach for U/12, U/14, U/16 ages. Groups have ranged from 3-5 pax.
Lift Tickets:
For the 2024 program, season passes for both Val D’Isere & Tignes were the most economical given the number of days the athletes skied.

THREDBO MOUNTAIN ACADEMY AVORIAZ CAMP 2025
Avoriaz is a resort in the Portes du Soleil, France and home to the Swiss Wall (a 1km 37 degree mogul run) and The Stash- a terrain park made solely from alpine trees and the first of its kind.
Cost per 5 days:
€750
Week 1:
6-10th January 2025
Week 2:
13-17th January 2025
If we have the numbers, we can put on a third week from 20-24th January 2025.
Week outline:
9:00AM - 3:30PM with 45 minutes for lunch.
Closest Airport:
GENEVA -You can get car rental from the airport if you’d prefer to have a car in resort.
For information on transfers check the following:
https://www.morzinesourcemagazine.com/business-categories/airport-transfers/
Accommodation recommendations:
https://www.morzinesourcemagazine.com/business-categories/accommodation/
Any further info on the resorts:
https://www.morzinesourcemagazine.com/business-categories/accommodation/
We would recommend staying in either Avoriaz, Morzine or Montriond. Avoriaz is a car free resort and you can get a transfer straight up to Avoriaz from the airport. Morzine is the town below Avoriaz, lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants, to access Avoriaz, there are free buses in town that can take you to either Prodains where you can get the cable car up to Avoriaz or Ardent where you can get the Gondola up to Linderets (once you are up either of these lifts, the hillspace we have is one chairlift ride away). Montriond is the village next to Ardent Gondola. A free bus runs through Montriond to get to Ardent, this is a quieter village than Morzine, has a couple of restaurants and a bar.
Skis:
We would advise you to bring your skis with you rather than renting.
Lunches:
We will have the option of joining your kids for lunch in a local restaurant, or providing a packed lunch/ snack money and we will base ourselves in the Salle Hors Sac (picnic room) at the top of the Ardent Gondola in the Linderets Bowl for lunch each day.
If it is safe to set, we will have gates each morning and some afternoons. If there are powder days, we will go freeskiing. The Portes du Soleil has 900km of skiing across France and Switzerland which we can make the most of.
We have limited spaces for the weeks above so if you are interested in securing a place, please send an email to isla.marsh@hotmail.co.uk with the subject TMA Avoriaz camp 2025 stating the child/ children interested and the weeks you are interested in booking.
Please note, this camp is for current TMA athletes only at this stage.
