THE BIG GUNS ARE HEADING DOWN UNDER

World No.4s Paul Coll (New Zealand) and Olivia Weaver (USA) have been named as top seeds for the Easy Times Brewing Co. Squash Australian Open 2025 after the draws were revealed on Australia Day.

Coll will be featuring in his third Australian Open, aiming to claim his second title. The win in 2015 was a breakthrough victory for the Kiwi, beating Aussie legend Cameron Pilley in the final.

Four Australians will feature in the tournament - Jess van der Walt, Alex Haydon, Joe White and Dylan Molinaro.

Squash Australian Open Gala Dinner

Don't miss your chance to take part in our night of nights, the Squash Australian Open Gala Dinner 2025.

The dinner takes place on Monday 10 March, the night before the 2025 Easy Times Brewing Co. Squash Australian Open gets underway.

In addition to the annual Squash Australia Awards, the Professional Squash Association will be formally inducting Geoff Hunt and Michelle Martin into the PSA Hall of Fame.

Kooyong to host World Championships Qualifiers

Squash Australia will host the 2025 World Championships Qualification event for Oceania with Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club named as the venue for one of the most important events of the year.

This tournament will determine the two qualifiers from the Oceania Region, with the winners of the men’s and women’s tournaments set to take their place in the 2025 PSA World Championships. The event will take place in May however, the venue is yet to be announced by the PSA.

Australian Junior Open registrations open

The AJO is the pinnacle event on the Australian Junior Squash Tour open to domestic and international junior players in age divisions from U11 to U19

The Rainbow Racquets Open Tournament was successfully staged at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) on Saturday 1 February, bringing together players from across the LGBTQ+ community and allies for a day of competitive squash and camaraderie. 

The event saw 17 participants compete across three divisions, with over 30 matches played, reinforcing the growing enthusiasm for inclusive squash initiatives in Australia.

The tournament followed a successful presence at the Midsumma Carnival, where a dedicated stall promoted both the competition and the Rainbow Racquets Squash Melbourne (RRSM) group.
