Our Junior Sail Training Green Fleet (Green Fleet Coaching) Program is designed for kids aged 8 to 16 years who have completed the Australian Sailing 5 - Start Sailing 1 & 2 Program.

NOTE Parents & Guardians - Please ensure you register using your child's revSPORT username and password and not your own, to allocate this Junior Sailing Program correctly.

Green Fleet sailors will cement the foundation skills previously learnt and are prepared for club racing or adventure sailing in an environment where the focus is on fun and enjoyment.   Syllabus includes classroom learning, cruising to a destination, sailing exercises, sailing adventure games and club racing.

Current sailing classes in our Green Fleet are Optimists and O’pen Skiffs.  All the equipment, including the boats, is provided for Green Fleet Level and discounts are available if you bring your own boat.

The Junior Sailing Program Fee is payable via this online registration and  must be completed prior to attending the program.  The following costs are:

• $250.00 per sailing season per person where a member brings a suitable boat;
• $400.00 additional fee per sailing season per person where a member requires a club boat

Active Kids Vouchers

The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the new Active Kids program and Australian Sailing is an approved provider. From 31 January 2018, parents, guardians and carers can apply for a voucher valued up to $100 per calendar year for each school-enrolled child. The voucher may be used with an approved activity provider for registration, participation and membership costs for sport, fitness and active recreation activities. Program Focus:

Following the structure and instruction in learn-to-sail programs. Green Fleet is an introduction to coaching and learning to train.

Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.

During the Program sailors are encouraged to take part in freesail activity, and to trial a variety of boats, boards, and other club related activity through age appropriate design.
