Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club plan to assist with the running of the above annual event involving the "Lake Maquarie Aquathlon & Swim" on Saturday 16th, and the "Lake Maquarie Triathlon Swim" on Sunday 17th March, which will be held within Speers Point Park adjacent to the SPASC Clubhouse - refer to enclosed Saturday course map HERE and Sunday course map HERE.

The organisers "H Events"  ​have advised they are happy to offer the club the opportunity to provide some vollies in return for an donation to the club, which could result in $1,100 in donations to SPASC to support this event.

Please Register if you are prepared to volunteer for either/both of these events (kids can be involved with adult supervision)

Please note the Schedule of Events are as follows:

Saturday 16 March - Aquathlon (Swim/Run) 60 people in aquathlon and also an open water swim event:

• 9.00am - 10.30am - Lake Macquarie Aquathlon (1km swim and 5km run)

• 10 marshals required from 8am for brief and 9am start doing run marshal positions and a drink station near the club (all equipment and info supplied & can be kids with adult supervision) - donation $500

Sunday  17 March - Lake Macquarie Triathlons:

• 7.00am - 11.00am -  Lake Macquarie Triathlons over multiple distances

• 10 marshals from 7am for brief and 7.30am start doing run marshal positions and a drink station near the club (all equipment and info supplied & can be kids with adult supervision) - donation $600

They have also advised SPASC can provide a "sausage sizzle" if we wish.

Note children may participate as marshals if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

NOTE, this event will impact access to the car park near SPASC Clubhouse.
